TurningPoint charges $80 an hour for counseling services unless a client has negotiated a lower fee with their counselor due to financial hardship. In many cases, insurance covers our services (e.g., Aetna, Tricare, Federal BC/BS, Cigna Behavioral Health, ComPsych, United Behavioral Health, MHET Behavioral Health, Corphealth, Behavioral Health Systems, Value Options, NEAS). We will gladly file a client’s insurance claim.

TurningPoint Counseling Services is a non-profit (501C 3) counseling ministry that provides hundreds of hours of discounted services to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. Your charitable donations are specifically designated to offset these costs and provide full scholarships for those in dire need.

Though we attempt to keep our fee for services low, TurningPoint realizes that some clients are unable to afford professional counseling. To make counseling available to these individuals, TurningPoint contracts with churches to provide services at a discounted rate ($65) through the Membership Assistance Program (MAP). Please contact us for more information on this program. MAP is a practical, cost effective way to strengthen the local church through professional Christ-centered counseling, which allows pastors and staff to do their work more effectively. Pastors and church staff that refer those they are directly affiliated with can expect these individuals to be seen immediately and not turned away. Members of MAP churches and those who attend MAP churches are automatically qualified.

TurningPoint recommends that each client make some financial investment in the counseling services they receive unless they are experiencing extreme financial hardship. Our experience informs us that those who contribute toward the cost of their counseling are more apt to attach value to the counseling process and have a higher level of motivation than those who receive services for free.
